Mister Germany 1998

Adrian Ursache

Mister Germany 1998 was Adrian Ursache. He was born in Romania in 1974 and moved to Germany with his family at the age of 10. He was crowned Mister Germany in 1998 at the age of 23. After his victory, he worked as a model and actor. He also married Miss Germany 1999, Sandra Hoffmann, and they have one son together.

In recent years, Ursache has become known for his involvement in the Reichsbürger movement, a far-right extremist group that rejects the legitimacy of the German government. In 2019, he was arrested and charged with attempted murder after he shot at a police officer during a forced eviction. He is currently awaiting trial.

Despite his legal troubles, Ursache remains a controversial figure in Germany. Some people have called for his Mister Germany title to be stripped away, while others have defended his right to hold his own political views.

Reichsbürger

Reichsbürger, or Reich citizens, are a diverse group of people in Germany who reject the legitimacy of the modern German state, the Federal Republic of Germany, in favor of the German Reich. They believe that the German Empire borders of 1932 or 1871 borders still exist and that the modern Federal Republic of Germany is “an administrative construct still occupied by the Allied powers”.

Reichsbürger beliefs vary widely, but they are typically characterized by a rejection of the German government’s authority, a belief in conspiracy theories, and a glorification of the German past. Some Reichsbürger believe that the German government is controlled by Jews, Freemasons, or other secret societies. Others believe that the German people are still under Allied occupation and that they are not subject to German law.

Reichsbürger have been involved in a number of violent incidents in recent years. In 2016, a Reichsbürger killed a police officer during a raid. In 2019, a Reichsbürger group was arrested for plotting to overthrow the German government.

The German government has classified the Reichsbürger movement as a threat to democracy. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the German domestic intelligence agency, estimates that there are around 23,000 Reichsbürger in Germany.
